WHat is included in your iNvestment


The initial sticker shock when hiring a photographer for your event or session can be a little bit shocking. "WOW! All that money for someone to click a button!" could be furthest from the truth.


I'm here to help educate you on the method behind the madness, so that you can appreciate the why's behind your investment.


All photographers are not made equal. This includes anything from hobby photographer vs. professional career photographer, education, experience, cost of doing business, location, and more.


Let's break down what some of my wedding clients' investments include, for example.


Compensation includes:

  • Administration: Emails, contracts and planning, phone calls, guides, and any other back and forth we may have with one another
  • Travel time: The time it takes for me to travel to and from our location(s), gas, wear and tear on my vehicle
  • Flat lay and "decor" items: Purchasing of any items needed to ensure the overall aesthetic and look is cohesive
  • Session time: ADP Weddings vary in different times; typically from 1.5 to 6 hours and during this time, I am shooting while "battling" different lighting scenarios, people, grounds, changes in plans, etc.
  • Editing and gallery: Uploading the photos to the editing software, sifting through the thousands of photos taken during the session and deleting photos that are not usable, hand-editing photos for the gallery, saving all the edited photos, and then uploading them to your gallery, creating gallery emails to send out, as well as follow up items
  • Cost of doing business and overhead: Multiple editing softwares, website & domain, gallery host, phone/internet, CRM (customer relationship management system), hard drives, education, training, marketing and advertising, photography gear, license, insurance, etc.


Most ADP weddings that are 6 hours take at least 4 weeks to edit. Your investment is for one month of my work, not just the 6 hours I am there. I take my job very seriously and work hard to deliver the best gallery and experience possible.


In other words, your investment is my investment.
