Congrats on your engagement

Here's a few things to think about once the "big question" has been popped!

Getting engaged is a wonderful and exciting moment! After the initial excitement has worn off, it’s time to start thinking about what comes next. Here are my tips on the first 3 things you should do after getting engaged:

  1. Budget: Come up with a clear budget. Before you start planning your wedding, it’s important to discuss your budget with your partner and any family members who may be contributing. Determine how much you can afford to spend and allocate funds accordingly. You don't want to waste your time and energy--or stress out--making decisions on things that may not be within your desired range.
  2. Location/date: Choose your location and date, or date and location. There may be an instance where you have to budge and choose a date that isn't your ideal date based off of availability of your desired location (or vendors like DJ, food trucks), and vice versa. Try to remain as flexible as possible--without pushing what is reallllly important to you, aside.
  3. Photographer/videographer: One of the biggest investments, both monetarily and in preference, will be your photographer and/or videographer. Capturing your day and the moments that surround it are so important. These keepsakes will be with you forever. Key things like a photographer/videographer's style, personality, experience, and professionalism are super important to keep top of mind during this process.

I hope this little break down helped ease some of that anxiousness!

Happy Planning :)
