FAQ

Why should I hire a professional photographer?

A.The number one reason to hire a professional is that you won't have to worry about missing out on being in the moment... and neither will family members or friends. You know you are hiring someone with extensive knowledge, education, practice, and experience... this includes anything from poses and prompts, angles, editing, lighting, and more.

How do I book a session?

A.It's soo easy! To start, please fill out my contact form by clicking on "Contact & Inquire" in the navigation bar above.

Next, you will then typically receive an email where we'll work out some details.

Once we have nailed down the deets, you'll be sent the package picker/contract/invoice/payment.

When am I considered booked?

A.Once the contract has been signed, date/location chosen, and your non-refundable retainer is paid, you are considered booked.

How much is the deposit retainer?

A.A $50.00 USD non-refundable, non-transferrable retainer is required for all sessions (excluding elopements and weddings).

Elopements and weddings require a $150 USD non-refundable, non-transferrable retainer.

The retainer is applied towards your total investment cost. If you cancel or no show, you will not receive a refund.

I want to get to know you better.... can we meet?

A.Of course! I am more than happy to set up a Skype or Google Meet with you. Feel free to request one during the planning process.

How do I pay?

A.I currently accept most debit/credit cards. Payment will be made digitally when you complete your contract.

When is final payment due?

A.The final payment is due 1 week before your session date, not including elopements and weddings. The final payment for elopements and weddings is 2 weeks before your session date. Services will not be rendered if this is not paid in advance.

If booked last minute, it may be due sooner/upon receipt of the invoice.

What is your shooting style?

A.During my sessions I love to use a mix of prompts, movement, candids, and poses. I love using a mix of cool, lifestyle-type angles, poses, and candids, with standard, timeless poses and angles.

My final images are typically true to color with a twist, and both timeless and artistic black & whites. My editing style is non-negotionable.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

A.New England is gorgeous, but the weather can be unpredictable! I will work with you to keep an eye on the weather. If needed, we will decide the night before or morning of your shoot if a reschedule is needed and when our rescheduled date will be.

What should I expect?

A.It is my mission to make you feel as prepared as possible. We will keep open conversation, and I will provide you with Style and/or Session Guides to help walk you through preparing for your shoot and the shoot itself.

What do I wear?

A.For most of my sessions, I will provide a guide. This will include tips, tricks, and ideas of things to wear.

The final aesthetic of your gallery will depend heavily on your outfit choice(s) to tie it all together.

The shoot is over, now what?

A.Once the shoot is over, I will begin editing your session.

Currently, the turnaround for mini and standard sessions is 2 weeks, elopements are 4 weeks, and micro weddings are 6 weeks. Delivery date will be included in your contract.

Next, you will receive a sneak peek or two. These will be found on my social media pages.

Once editing is complete, you will receive an email with access to your digital gallery, as well as some helpful tips and tricks.

Can I have the original, unedited, "RAW" files?

A.I do not provide any original, unedited, straight-out-of-camera "RAW" files, as they are not representative of the work I deliver.

How long do you store files for?

A.At this time, I try to store them indefinitely, but I can't guarantee the storage of images once the final gallery is delivered. I recommend that when you receive your gallery, you save and back up your files immediately via your computer, cloud, thumb drive, and/or external hard drive.

Do you offer printing services or albums?

A.At this time, I offer limited printing services through a third party. This can be completed through your gallery's store when you receive your digital gallery.

At this time, I do not create albums, but you can create your own through the store or another third party,

"Ashlie was incredible to work with and is a phenomenal photographer. She did our maternity photos and I loved her work so much that I scheduled mother and daughter photos as well and they couldn’t have turned out more beautiful. Ashlie was very accommodating during the entire scheduling process and is extremely professional. She works to deliver your exact vision. She is also very responsive and reliable - we received our photos back within a couple days! Ashlie offers competitive pricing–you can’t beat it!"
